Membership is open to those who work as adult psychotherapists in the NHS and subscribe to the objectives of the A.A.P. These are outlined in the constitution, a central aim of which is to promote the profession of Adult Psychotherapy in the NHS. Members work in a variety of settings, with wide variations in organisational structures, but all offer specialist psychotherapy services to their employing Trust. Members have full voting rights; are entitled to attend meetings which are held four times a year and access the members only section of this website which provides:-
Members also receive access to the extensive Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing archive/network. More information here. Full Membership costs £55.00 per year, or £35 for Associate Members or Retired Members, renewable in September each year. The Association is negotiating the terms of this year's access to PEP and as such current AAP members have not yet been asked to pay a subscription for the 2009-2010 year. It is anticipated that this process will be included in January 2010, and the subscription for this year will then include an element for existing benefits/services and an element for PEP access. To join, please complete a membership form and return to the Treasurer, Tracey Alexander (address on form) with a cheque made payable to “Association of Adult Psychotherapists.” Download membership application form |
